The K 100 RT is a heavy shaft-drive tourer that spends its life two-up with luggage and a full tank. That weight sits high and rearward, so the rear tyre carries more load than the spec sheet suggests. Look for a sport-touring carcass with stiff sidewalls, predictable warm-up, and a compound rated for sustained motorway cruising. Wet grip matters; this isn't a fair-weather bike.
