Common questions

The questions we get asked most. Can't see yours? Drop us a line on the contact page.

Will this tyre fit my bike?
Use the fitment finder on each product page. It checks the manufacturer ApplicationList where one exists, and falls back to size-matching against your bike's OE specification. Final responsibility for matching the size, speed rating, and load index sits with you. Your owner manual is the authority. If you're not sure, drop us a message before you order.
Are tyres front and rear specific?
Most are. Direction of rotation, tread pattern, and compound are tuned for the position. Each product page lists which positions a tyre fits. Some come as matched front-and-rear pairs. Others fit one position only. Mixing brands or models front-to-rear isn't recommended; the chassis is set up around a matched set.
How old will my tyres be when they arrive?
Every tyre carries a four-digit DOT code stamped on the sidewall. The first two digits are the week of manufacture, the second two the year. We dispatch from current stock and most tyres ship under 12 months from manufacture. We can't commit to a specific week. If you have a strict requirement (track scrutineering, race use), email first and we'll confirm what we can supply.
Do you discount pairs?
Brand pricing is set at the product page. Some manufacturers run promotional pricing on matched front-and-rear pairs. The cart applies any active discount automatically. We don't haggle.
Do you fit them?
Not directly. We dispatch tyres to your address; fitting is something a local tyre shop, dealer, or mobile fitter handles. Most fitters charge £15–£25 per wheel including balance. Bring the wheel off the bike or book the bike in. Depends on the shop.
Can I fit them myself?
Possible with the right tools (bead breaker, tyre levers, valve tool, balancing stand). Steel-belted radial tyres are stiff. Budget for stronger levers than you'd use on a pushbike. Get the wheel balanced after fitting; an unbalanced wheel above 60mph is at best uncomfortable, at worst a handling problem.
What pressure should I run?
Follow your bike's owner manual. Pressures are usually printed on a sticker on the chassis or swingarm. Check pressures cold. Warm tyres read 2–4 PSI higher and that's normal. Track or two-up pressures are typically different from solo road pressures; the owner manual lists both.
When will I get tracking?
Order confirmation email goes out immediately. Dispatch email with tracking arrives when the courier collects. For in-stock items that's usually the same or next working day. Backordered items show a realistic dispatch window on the product page.
Do you ship abroad?
Yes. EU and rest-of-world rates are on the shipping page. EU orders under €150 include local tax via IOSS so there are no surprise import fees on delivery. Over €150, local duty applies on arrival.
Can I return a tyre I've already fitted?
No. Once a tyre is mounted on a wheel, the bead has seated and the casing has flexed. We can't resell it. Check the size, speed rating, and load index before the fitter starts work. The full policy is on the returns page.
What if it arrives damaged?
Inspect the parcel at delivery. If a tyre arrives with sidewall cuts, transit damage, or anything that wasn't there when it left us, photograph it before unpacking further and email us the same day. We'll arrange collection and either replace or refund.
How does the manufacturer warranty work?
Tyres carry the original manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. If a fault appears in normal use, raise it with us first. We coordinate the warranty claim with the importer and replace if accepted. Wear, kerbing, and incorrect fitting aren't warranty events.
