The ME 888 Marathon Ultra front carries the weight of a fully-loaded tourer without the cupping that plagues big cruisers on motorway miles. Radial construction holds its profile through long sweepers; the centre groove pattern clears standing water at speed, so the front stays planted in the wet stretches between Carlisle and Glasgow. OEM fitment on Harley Touring and several heavyweight Yamahas. Expect 8–12,000 miles on a heavy bike ridden two-up with luggage, more if you stay off the throttle out of corners. 59W load and speed rating covers anything you'll do legally on UK roads. Tubeless. The default replacement when the original Dunlops give up at 6,000 miles.
