Drop your pressures for serious green-laning or enduro work and the tyre wants to spin on the rim. That shears the valve stem clean out of the tube. This rim lock clamps the bead to the rim so it cannot move. The alloy body bites against the bead. A moulded rubber cover sits over it so the inner tube is not pinched or chafed when you hit something hard. This is the 1.60" width, sized for narrow rims on small front wheels and small-capacity trail bikes. Fitting needs a hole drilled in the rim if there is not one already. Worth doing before the next technical trail.
