At 2.15" this is the standard rear width on most 250 and 450 enduro and MX bikes, so it drops straight onto the wheel that needs it most. The alloy body takes the torque a modern dirt bike puts through the rear without letting the tyre creep round the rim. A thick rubber coating wraps the lock and buffers the tube, so the clamped bead never chews through it. That clamp is the whole point. It pins the bead to the rim and lets you run well below 15 PSI for grip in the rough, with no spinning tyre to shear your valve stem and strand you on the trail.
